Are You Ready For Another Saturday Linky Party??
Well then get your dancing shoes on and those singing voices ready because ME, Ginger of Just Another Mom of Twins and Becca of Because I'm the Mommy are hosting a "Songs That Make Us Sing Saturday Blog Hop!!"
Oh Ya! This Is Gonna Be FUN! FUN! FUN!
Hey It's a PARTY So We Don't Have Any Rules!!
(Except NO puking...the Mommies can't handle anymore puking.)
Here is how it will work and just a few guidelines:
1. Please Follow the TWO of "Us" (we're so much more than just songs...LOL) If you're a new follower please leave us a comment so we can follow you back!
2. Pick A Song...any song that makes you wanna sing! Old-New-Country-Pop-Punk...anything goes. (Let's try to keep it family friendly if we can...LOL) If you want, tell us why the song makes you wanna SING!
3. Add your link to the "Playlist"
4. We'd REALLY like you to copy the Linky Code (just click on "get the code") in to your post so your blogger buds can join in on the fun or link back to the both of us so they can at least "find" the party, but you don't have to.
5. We'd love to see the video of your song (which can easily be shared via youtube.com) but if you just wanna list your favorite song of the day, we're "cool" with that too!
6. Hey, and don't forget to grab our button while you are at it. (BCIMommy still likes it cause she thinks it sounds dirty. *teehee*)
Ok, so I am sure you all remember the Milli Vanilli Scandal (that is, if you are 35+)...I know I do! Just a few months before the "news" broke that the two of them were not really the musical geniuses behind "Girl You Know It's True", my girlfriend and I had just proudly "showed off" our autographs we had got in the middle of the Toronto airport on our way back from Florida, when we actually MET THEM!
We had a little "fallout" of our own as a result of their deception. We went from "Superstars" (by small town standards) to "Fools of the School"! LMAO!
Oh well, I still LOVE this song and they aren't to hard on the eyes to watch either. I mean seriously, is there anything that SCREAMS the 80's more than spandex, "body slams", hair-flips & shoulder pads? ;)
Probably showing my age, too...but I did love Milli Vanilli for a time, too. I remember being so shocked over the scandal! And think about it...that was long before the time of the E! network and so much gossip media (at least the way I remember it!).
ReplyDeleteHa ha! YES, I do remember that scandal, and I'm 31. I had the tape, knew the songs, thought I was so cool. I even think my parents made fun of me (jokingly, of course) when the news broke that they were frauds. Ha! Oh, well. I agree that they're not bad to listen to. And not much screams 80s quite like all that you've described!
ReplyDeleteall I can say is... blame it on the rain! :)
ReplyDeleteloved that song!!!
