5 Things You MAY Not Know About Me:
1. I am deathly afraid of fire.
2. I am addicted to eyeglasses.
3. I ate an entire bag of " eggies" on Sunday night.
4. I speak "op" language fluently.
5. I am a total sci-fi fan.
5 Things I am Knowledgeable About (or at least I'd like to think so!):
1. Parenting
2. Scrapbooking
3. Social Role Valorization
4. Cooking
5. IVF & Reproduction
5 Things I Know NOTHING About:
1. Parenting
2. Baking
3. Football (or any sport for that matter)
4. Gardening
5. The War of 1813..I Mean 1812! ;)
5 Things I Believe (in):
1. God
2. Reincarnation
3. The Supernatural
4. Santa Claus
5. Marriage
I added Santa Claus to my list of beliefs too!
ReplyDeleteWe just went a second round of IVF and my head is still spinning from the process. Next time around, I'll seek answers from you.
Stopping by from Mama Kat's. :)
Yeah fire doesn't seem like such a good idea. I'll steer clear of it with you!
ReplyDeleteGreat list. The picture of the two kids in the crate is awesome. And I thought my playpen was baby jail!
ReplyDeleteStopping by from Mama Kat's.
I need more details, please...
ReplyDeleteWhat are eggies?
What is "op" language?
Can you write more about Social Role Valorization?
And you Crack.Me.Up about the War of 1815 (or whenever that darn thing was!). ;) I really want to have a command of history...it's interesting to me...but it just doesn't "stick". Thank goodness Hubby is a history buff, so we long ago agreed I'd be the math tutor for our children, and he could handle humanities.
Love your lists!
Hey Mandy!
ReplyDeleteEggies are those DE-licious easter treats you can get at Christmas now...mini choclate eggs covered in a thin candy coating...YUMMY!
OP Langauge...LMAO! I will have to do a VLOG so you can appreciate the complex nature of the language...I use to think my girlfriend and I were the only ones who knew it, read, made it up but I heard someone else recently talk about how they knew it....LOL! We use to use it so no one knew what we ere saying in high school! Good times!
Social Role Valorization- this is a long one for sure but in a nutshell, it's the guiding principles I used in the latter part of my career in supporting adults with developmental disabilities...it basically is about being "aware" of how people with disabilities have been devalued and victimized since the beginning of time and what we can do to better their "standing" in society...it's complex but excellent "stuff"!
Okay- I love that you have "parenting" on stuff you know about AND stuff you know nothing about! I think that's true for all of us. And I also love that you believe in Santa Claus. AWESOME.
ReplyDeleteI'm here from Mamakats. I'd love a visit back!
Thanks
Brae
I don't know a thing about parenting either. Hence the title of my blog!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that parenting is on both lists - it's so true, you just think you have something sorted and the babies change the game. Aarrggggghhhh
ReplyDeletethanks for the MandyE explanation - I also wanted to know.
PS love the pics in the other post too - kids are gorgeous.
Oh gosh...I hope wasn't the one who gave you the Blog on Fire award...I promise I didn't know...LOL!
ReplyDeleteI also know NOTHING about gardening. I pretty much kill every plant I put my hands on.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm a big sci-fi nerd.
HA! I'm with you! Fire is super scary...
ReplyDeleteAnd I think it is brilliant that you put Parenting in both the column you are knowledgeable about and the column you know nothing about! It definitely feels that way some days doesn't it?!
I'm also finding that not only do I know nothing (or next to nothing about football, basketball, golf, etc.) I also have no desire to learn! I used to at least kind of care and be interested since Si was interested. Ha! Not anymore! I'd much rather blog =)
I'm glad to have found someone else who believes in Marriage. It's a good thing to believe in! Great response to Mama Kat's prompts! See you again next week? ;)
ReplyDeleteI love that you put parenting in the category of what you know and also what you do not know. I think that applies to every parent.
